But we did find this interesting nugget in the article – Indian Government owned Coal India Ltd lost in the bidding fray. “The matter concerns national sentiment and I will leave no stone unturned to acquire the property and declare it a national monument,” coal minister Sriprakash Jaiswal said in Delhi.
Really? Wouldn’t Gandhi have preferred that the money go to alleviating poverty? And is this the best use of taxpayer money?
